Unfortunately, Big Tattoo Wines has suspended their charity donation program until further notice due to the volatile economy.

In case you don’t know the background: As a way to honor the memory of their mother, Alex, a wine importer, and Erik a tattoo artist, created these wines. The pair lost their mother, Liliana A. Bartholomaus, to cancer in 2000.

With their combined talents, they decided to label and bottle their own wine and donate the proceeds to a good cause. Together they created the 2 Brothers Winery and Big Tattoo Wines. For every bottle sold, 50 cents is being donated in the name of Liliana S. Bartholomaus to charities benefiting the community where the wine is sold. Introduced in the Winter of 2002, donations from Big Tattoo Wines have surpassed $1 Million nationally as of August 2007.

For the Triangle area, Billington has continued its support of Cornucopia House by selecting it as the nonprofit to benefit by the sale of any Big Tattoo wines. These wines are available at any fine wine stores in the greater Triangle region.
