Welcome to
Cornucopia House
A Caring Community

We promise to be a place where anyone touched by cancer can find the support and resources to live life to the fullest.

We contribute to the quality of life of those disgnosed with cancer and for the supporters who love and care for them. Our programs and services support and empower individuals and families with cancer to explore the best choices for their own approach to coping with cancer.

We are experts in non-clinical cancer support services offered free of charge to anyone touched by any type of cancer at all stages of their journeys - diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and survivorship.

And, we understand how important it is to lend a hand to individuals who support those with cancer. That's why all our services also are available to family members, friends, and caregivers. Most importantly, everything we provide is available free of charge, thanks to the generosity of our supporters.

So, stop by for a cup of tea, browse the library, attend an educational forum or support session, join a gentle yoga class, and allow yourself some moments of peace with compassionate touch.

Peer Connect

Cornucopia House
&
Carolina Well-UNC Lineberger Cancer Survivorship Program

Forging a partnership to help support cancer survivors and caregivers

We are recruiting volunteers to become GUIDES

As a Peer Connect guide you will be trained in the use of a nationally recognized peer training technique which provides you with the tools to be effective in your role of providing support and encouragement.

Peer Connect is a confidential peer-support program that connects anyone touched by cancer with another person whose experiences with cancer are similar. This relationship will be between a PARTNER - someone who is looking for information and support from a cancer survivor or caregiver and a GUIDE - someone who has had similar experiences with cancer.

For more information call Maxine Fitts, at Cornucopia at 401-9333 or e-mail her at chpeer@mindspring.com
